Duplicating a Campaign

Clone an existing campaign for quick reuse

Duplicating a Campaign

Duplicating a campaign creates an exact copy that you can edit and send independently. This is a fast way to reuse a successful campaign's design, content, and settings without starting from scratch.

How to Duplicate a Campaign

  1. Navigate to Campaigns from the sidebar.
  2. Find the campaign you want to duplicate in the list. You can duplicate campaigns of any status (draft, sent, scheduled, or cancelled).
  3. Click the actions menu (three dots) on the campaign row.
  4. Select Duplicate.
  5. A new campaign is created as a Draft with the name “Copy of [original name].”
  6. Click into the new campaign to edit its name, content, audience, and schedule as needed.

What Gets Duplicated

  • Campaign name (with “Copy of” prefix).
  • Subject line and preheader text.
  • Sender name, sender email, and reply-to address.
  • Email content — the full email design, including all blocks and styling.
  • Target audience selections (lists and segments).
  • Exclusion segments.

What Does Not Get Duplicated

  • Analytics — the duplicate starts with zero opens, clicks, and other metrics.
  • Schedule — the duplicate is always created as a draft, even if the original was scheduled or already sent.
  • Status — the duplicate always starts in Draft status.

Use Cases

  • Recurring campaigns — duplicate last month's newsletter and update the content for this month.
  • A/B testing — duplicate a campaign, change the subject line or content in the copy, and send each version to a different segment.
  • Template alternative — if you frequently reuse a campaign format but don't want to create a formal template, duplicating is a quick alternative.
  • Resending to non-openers — duplicate a sent campaign, update the subject line, and target a segment of contacts who did not open the original.

Tips

  • Rename the duplicated campaign immediately to avoid confusion with the original.
  • Review the duplicated audience selections — the same segments are copied, but you may want to adjust targeting for the new send.
  • Duplicating is non-destructive. The original campaign is not modified in any way.
