Creating a New Campaign
Campaigns are the core of email marketing in Mailnaptic. Each campaign represents a single email send to a defined audience. You can create campaigns from scratch or start with a saved template.
Starting a New Campaign
- Navigate to Campaigns from the main sidebar.
- Click the New Campaign button.
- Choose your starting point:
- Blank campaign — start with an empty email editor.
- From template — select a previously saved email template from your template library.
- Duplicate existing — clone a previous campaign (available from the campaign list page).
- Enter a campaign name. This is an internal label visible only to your team.
- You are taken to the campaign builder, which has multiple steps.
Campaign Builder Steps
- Setup — configure the subject line, preheader text, sender name, sender email address, and reply-to address. Your sender address must use a verified domain.
- Design — build your email content using the drag-and-drop editor. Add text blocks, images, buttons, dividers, and custom HTML. Use merge tags for personalization.
- Review — preview your email, check the rendering compatibility report, review your spam score, and send a test email.
- Audience — select the lists and segments to target. Optionally add exclusion segments.
- Send — choose to send immediately or schedule for a future date and time. A mailing address is required for CAN-SPAM compliance before sending.
Campaign Statuses
- Draft — the campaign is being edited and has not been sent or scheduled.
- Scheduled — the campaign is queued for a future send time.
- Sending — the campaign is currently being delivered.
- Sent — delivery is complete.
- Cancelled — a scheduled campaign was cancelled before sending.
Requirements Before Sending
- At least one verified domain must be configured in your account.
- A mailing address must be set on the domain used for sending (CAN-SPAM requirement).
- The campaign must have a subject line, email content, and at least one target audience.
Tips
- You can save your progress at any time. Campaigns remain in draft status until you send or schedule them.
- Use the campaign builder even without a verified domain — you can build and preview freely. Only the final send step is blocked until domain verification is complete.
- Give campaigns descriptive internal names so they are easy to find later (e.g., “March 2026 Newsletter” instead of “Campaign 1”).
