AI Text Rewrite
Rewrite selected text with custom AI instructions
AI Text Rewrite
The AI Text Rewrite tool lets you select a portion of your email content and have the AI rewrite it based on your specific instructions. This is useful for changing the tone, simplifying language, expanding on a point, or rephrasing a section.
How to Use AI Text Rewrite
- In the email editor, select the text you want to rewrite by highlighting it with your cursor.
- A floating toolbar appears near the selected text. Click the AI Rewrite button (or right-click and select “AI Rewrite” from the context menu).
- An input field appears where you can type your rewrite instruction. Examples:
- “Make this more casual and friendly”
- “Shorten this to one sentence”
- “Add more urgency”
- “Rewrite for a technical audience”
- “Translate to a more professional tone”
- Press Enter or click Rewrite.
- The AI returns a rewritten version of the selected text based on your instruction.
- Review the result. Click Accept to replace the original text, or Discard to keep the original.
Rewrite Use Cases
- Tone adjustment — shift a paragraph from formal to conversational (or vice versa) without rewriting it manually.
- Conciseness — ask the AI to shorten a wordy section while preserving the key message.
- Expansion — ask the AI to elaborate on a brief point, adding more detail or examples.
- Clarity — ask the AI to simplify complex language for a broader audience.
- Call-to-action improvement — select a weak CTA and ask the AI to make it more compelling.
Tips
- Be specific with your instructions. “Improve this” is vague; “make this paragraph more concise and add a sense of urgency about the deadline” gives the AI clear direction.
- You can apply multiple rewrites to different sections of the same email.
- If the rewrite doesn't match your expectations, try rephrasing your instruction and rewriting again.
- The rewrite preserves the surrounding HTML structure and formatting — only the selected text content is changed.
- Each rewrite request consumes AI credits.
