Auto-generate a preheader from your subject line
AI Preheader Generator
The preheader is the short text that appears after the subject line in most email clients' inbox views. A well-crafted preheader complements the subject line and can significantly improve open rates. The AI Preheader Generator creates one for you automatically.
What Is a Preheader?
The preheader (also called preview text) is the snippet of text visible in the inbox next to or below the subject line. In many email clients, it is the first thing recipients read after the subject line when deciding whether to open an email. A good preheader:
- Complements the subject line rather than repeating it.
- Adds context or a secondary hook.
- Stays under 100 characters for best display across clients.
How to Generate a Preheader
- In the campaign builder, go to the Setup step.
- Enter your subject line first (the AI uses it as input).
- Next to the Preheader field, click the AI Generate button (sparkle icon).
- The AI analyzes your subject line and generates a complementary preheader.
- The generated text is inserted into the preheader field. You can edit it as needed.

Tips
- Always write your subject line before generating a preheader, since the AI uses the subject as context.
- The generated preheader is a starting point. Feel free to edit it to better match your campaign's specific message.
- Avoid repeating the same words or phrase used in the subject line. The preheader should add new information.
- Keep the preheader concise. Aim for 40-100 characters for best rendering across email clients.
- If you leave the preheader empty, most email clients will pull the first line of your email body as preview text, which is often not ideal.
- Each generation consumes one AI credit.
