Viewing Campaign Activity
The campaign activity feed shows a detailed, event-by-event log of how individual subscribers interacted with your campaign. While summary statistics tell you overall performance, the activity feed lets you see exactly who opened, clicked, bounced, unsubscribed, or complained.
Accessing the activity feed
- Navigate to Campaigns in the sidebar.
- Open a sent campaign.
- Click the Activity tab on the campaign detail page.
- The activity feed displays a chronological list of subscriber events.
Event types
Each event in the activity feed includes a timestamp, the contact's email address, and the event type:
- Sent — The email was accepted by the recipient's mail server.
- Opened — The recipient opened the email (tracking pixel loaded).
- Clicked — The recipient clicked a link. The specific URL is shown.
- Bounced — The email bounced. The bounce type (hard or soft) and error message are displayed.
- Unsubscribed — The recipient unsubscribed via the unsubscribe link or List-Unsubscribe header.
- Complained — The recipient marked the email as spam.
Filtering the activity feed
The activity feed can contain thousands of events for large campaigns. Use the filter controls to narrow down what you see:
- By event type — Show only opens, only clicks, only bounces, etc.
- By search — Search for a specific contact's email address to see all their interactions with the campaign.
Using activity data
Identify engaged contacts
Look at contacts who both opened and clicked your email. These are your most engaged subscribers and are good candidates for follow-up campaigns or sales outreach.
Debug delivery issues
If a specific contact reports they did not receive your email, search for their email address in the activity feed. You can see whether the email was sent, bounced, or has no events at all (which may indicate a filtering issue on their end).
Investigate complaints
When you see complaint events, take note of the contacts involved. If complaints are coming from contacts who recently signed up, check your opt-in process. If they are from long-time subscribers, consider whether your content has drifted from their expectations.
Track link performance
Click events show the specific URL that was clicked. This lets you see not just how many people clicked, but which links were most popular and in what order subscribers interacted with your content.
Navigating to contact profiles
From the activity feed, you can click on any contact's email address to navigate directly to their full contact profile. The contact profile shows their complete history across all campaigns and automations, not just the current campaign.
The activity feed is your go-to tool for drilling down from high-level statistics to individual subscriber behavior.
